Time to Lace Up Those Skates
Cool temperatures make for ideal skating conditions at Portland’s outdoor rinks

PORTLAND, Maine – This week, ponds at Breakwater and Payson Park were flooded creating excellent outdoor skating conditions. Cool temperatures have also created excellent skating conditions at the city’s three other outdoor rinks.
Where can the public skate?
• Deering High on Ludlow Street
• Deering Oaks Park
• Nason’s Corner/Breakwater School Pond
• Payson Park
• Riverside Golf Course – Enjoy a lighted outdoor skating rink
• Portland Ice Arena – Get your skates sharpened at the Ice Arena. Classes and open skate times are available, call 774-8553 or visit the city’s website at www.portlandicearena.com for more information.
