In order to expand the number of bus stops that are both cleared of snow and ice in winter and kept clean year-round, the Greater Portland bus lines need the services of able-bodied volunteers (including businesses adjacent to stops) to fill the gap.

Volunteers can sign up online, www.adopt-a-stop.org, and help improve the year-round accessibility and attractiveness of major bus stops on the Portland Metro and South Portland Bus Service routes.
