A Youth Ice-Fishing Trip!

2/7/2012 - This is a great chance for kids to spend a day learning how to ice-fish with Registered Maine Guide Ron Fournier, owner of Western Maine Guide Service, Orion Outfitters, and Portland Recreation Programmer, Peter Gerard. This trip will include a hot lunch on the ice; will provide all fishing gear and enough fish stories to last a lifetime. The date is Tuesday, February 21, 2012, from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. It’s for kids ages 8-12 and will meet at the Riverton Community Center, where we’ll board the Recreation Bus and head out to a local frozen lake/pond (to be determined as we get closer to the date). The fee is $45.00 and the deadline to register is Friday, February 17. We can only take 13 kids, so sign up fast! Bring winter clothing, sunglasses and snacks.
