Recreation - East End Community Center

Set in the east end, overlooking Portland’s scenic back cove and the White Mountains of N.H. the East End Community Center was built in 2005 and opened in the fall of 2006. The recreation staff design community programs for all ages see our program guide for details. We also offer affordable rental space for your special occasions or meetings.

Rental Space

Peter O’Donnell Community Room
Approximately 42’ wide x 20’ long = 840 square feet
Room divides into two sections, Section 1 is 14’ x 20’ and Section 2 is 28’ x 20’

Dry-erase whiteboard
Cupboard and counter space
(4) 6’ rectangular tables
(1) 8’ round table

Cafeteria

58’ x 51’ room divides into two sections

Amenities:

Beautiful views of back cove and casco bay
Stage access
(15) cafeteria-style tables with attached seating
(100) metal chairs

Stage

25’ x 39’ = 975 square feet

Stage is accessible from either the cafeteria or gymnasium with a 28’ opening available for each room.

Amenities:

Stage is handicap accessible
Speaker hook-ups and basic lighting available

Gymnasium

62’ x 85’ = 5,270 square feet

Amenities:

(2) Regulation-height baskets (can adjust to 8’)
(2) Volleyball courts (not regulation size)
