Portland’s Comprehensive Plan contains established goals and policies, an inventory of current conditions, a future land use plan and an implementation plan. This planning effort has benefited the City by consolidating the separate comprehensive plan documents into one document and by updating information with recent data. The document will aid citizens in understanding the content and complexity of Portland’s Comprehensive Plan and provide the City Council and City Administration with an accessible policy document to guide municipal decisions.
