i. Recommendation to the Portland Planning Board regarding

1) designation of a portion of Congress Street and abutting area as “Congress Street Historic District” and;

2) amendments to Article V (Site Plan) and Article IX (Historic Preservation) of the Land Use Code

The Historic Preservation Board voted unanimously to recommend designation of the Congress Street Historic District, subject to several proposed map changes. Draft recommendation memorandum to be reviewed and approved at next meeting. The Board also voted unanimously to recommend adoption of the draft site plan and Historic Preservation ordinance amendments.
