November 12th, 2008 Public Hearing: Tevanian, Silk, Hall, and Lowry present; Lewis, Odokara and Patterson absent. 4. REPORT OF DECISIONS AT THE PREVIOUS MEETING, HELD ON NOVEMBER 12th, 2008. i. Island Map, Zoning Map Adoption; City of Portland, Applicant. The Planning Board voted unanimously 4-0 (Lewis, Odokara, and Patterson absent) to recommend the proposed zoning map to the City Council. ii. Maine Irish Heritage Center Conditional Use Review; Vicinity of 3 Gray Street; Maine Irish Heritage Center, Applicant. The Planning Board voted unanimously 4-0 (Lewis, Odokara, and Patterson absent) to approve the conditional use. iii. Shed Amendment, Zoning Text Amendment; City of Portland, Applicant. The Planning Board voted unanimously 4-0 (Lewis, Odokara, and Patterson absent) to recommend this proposed amendment to the City Council. 5. NEW BUSINESS i. Rufus Deering Lumber, Site Plan; Vicinity of 383 Commercial Street; Rufus Deering Lumber Company, Applicant. (7:30- 8:30 PM- estimated time, subject to change) A proposal to construct a 29,000 sq. ft. drive-thru warehouse, improve the parking lot and reorganize on-site circulation. ii. Sustainable Portland Report, Proposed Element of Comprehensive Plan; City of Portland, Applicant. (8:30- 9:00 PM- estimated time, subject to change) A report prepared by the Sustainable Portland taskforce to establish a framework for evaluating sustainable practices regarding environment, economy and community. iii. Chapter 500 Stormwater Amendments to Portland’s Technical and Design Standards and Guidelines; City of Portland, Applicant. (9:00 PM- estimated time, subject to change) Review of proposed stormwater management standards to replace Portland’s current standards in the City’s Technical and Design Standards and Guidelines.
