An amendment to the existing IR-3 conditional zone for Diamond Cove on Great Diamond Island is proposed to allow up to 22 residential hotel condominium units in the Double Barracks building (building 46) and a lesser number of units in the hospital (building 19). A swimming pool and a food services building is proposed behind the Double Barracks in an area originally designated as open space. The Planning Board voted unanimously 5-0 (Odokara, Lewis absent) to grant waivers of parking stall size, to reduce driveway distance on Forest Avenue being right-in-right-out only, and waived distance of Deering Street driveway for Lincoln Street as shown.
