The Portland Planning Board did not make a motion to reconsider the Planning Board’s September 11, 2007 denial of a motion to waive the requirement to constructing Brandon Street to City Standards.

The Portland Planning Board voted 6-0 (Odokara absent) to approve condition #9 and voted 2-3 (Tevanian and Lowry in favor; Hall, Silk, Patterson opposed; Freund abstained) therefore the motion regarding condition #10 failed.

The Portland Planning Board voted unanimously 6-0 (Odokara absent) to recommend the amendment to the Portland City Council with one condition.
7. NEW BUSINESS
iRezoning from IL to IM; Vicinity of 215-237 Read Street; JB Brown & Sons, Applicant. (7:30 – 8:30 p.m. – estimated time)
The Portland Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider a proposal by J.B. Brown and Sons to rezone their property in the vicinity of 215 to 237 Read Street, Canco Road and Quarry Road from I-L Industrial to I-M Industrial.

The Portland Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider a proposal by Diversified Properties Inc. to amend the approved 3-lot subdivision proposal, accessed from Barclay Avenue, to include an accessory unit in the single family home at 31 Barclay Avenue (lot 2 of the subdivision). The location of the accessory unit is within a previously approved garage and the modification relates solely to the creation of a fourth unit within the subdivision. Drainage, easements and other aspects of the proposal remain as for the approved 3-lot subdivision.

NOTE: It is possible that the Board will not reach all of the items prior to adjournment. Any items not reached will be rescheduled to appear on the subsequent agenda with items appearing early on the agenda as unfinished business.
