i.Bayside Zoning Map and Text Amendments Related to a New B-7 Zone in Bayside Replacing the Existing B-5 Zone between Franklin Street and Marginal Way; City of Portland, Applicant.
The Portland Planning Board voted 5-0 (Tevanian and Odokara absent) to recommend to the City Council the zoning text; and voted 5-0 (Tevanian and Odokara absent) to recommend to the City Council the map change. The Board also voted 4-1 (Tevanian and Odokara absent; Silk opposed) to recommend to the City Council the height overlay.
4. NEW BUSINESS
i.Harvard Street Rezoning; R-3 to R-5; Vicinity of 97-175 Harvard Street; Wescott & Payson Ii, Applicant.
The Portland Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider a plan by Michael Burnham to develop a 12-unit apartment building at 173 Neal Street. The .2-acre site currently features a small commercial building and a surface parking lot. The applicant proposes to build a 3-strory structure and provide parking under the proposed structure and within the existing commercial structure at a one space per unit ratio. The zoning for the site is R-6 Infill.
ii.12 Unit Apartment Building; Vicinity of 173 Neal Street; Michael Burnham, Applicant.
