6. ANNOUNCEMENT OF DECISIONS AT THE PREVIOUS MEETING, HELD ON JANUARY 23rd, 2007.
iPreble Street Resource Center Conditional Use; Vicinity of 9 Portland Street; Preble Street Resource Center, Applicant.
The Portland Planning Board voted unanimously (7-0) to approve the conditional use subject to six (6) conditions of approval.
iiBuilding Addition; Site Plan Review; Vicinity of 297 Cumberland Avenue; Salvation Army, Applicant.
The Portland Planning Board voted unanimously (7-0) to approve the conditional use; voted unanimously (7-0) to waive the parking stall size; voted unanimously (7-0) to waive the site lighting standards and voted unanimously (7-0) to approve the site plan subject to six (6) conditions of approval.
7. NEW BUSINESS
iR-6 Design Principles and Standards Guidelines (5:00 – 5:45 p.m. – estimated time)
The Portland Planning Board will consider a proposal for amendments to the technical design standards for the R-6 Infill Design Certification Program. The proposed text amendments include a revised purpose statement, additional submittal requirements, reorganization of the design principles and updates to the design principles and alternative design review option.
iiB-3 Surface Parking and Minimum Building Height Amendments (5:45 – 6:30 p.m. – estimated time)
The Portland Planning Board will consider will review two (2) proposed amendments to the text of the B-3 Downtown Business Zone. The first amendment would restrict surface parking from land within 35 feet of any public street. The second amendment would provide exceptions to the requirement that new buildings have a minimum building height of 35 feet within 50 feet of any street frontage.

NOTE: It is possible that the Board will not reach all of the items prior to adjournment. Any items not reached will be rescheduled to appear on the subsequent agenda with items appearing early on the agenda as unfinished business.
