AOld Business: Variance Appeal: 57 Center Street, Justin O’Reilly, Daniel Steele, Laurence Kelly, owners Tax Map #038 Block C Lot #030 in the B3 Downtown Business Zone is seeking a Variance Appeal under section 14-220 (h) of the City of Portland Zoning Ordinance. Appellants are requesting a Variance from the required 35’ minimum building height. The proposed addition is 14’ high and matches the existing height at the rear of the property. Representing the Appeal are the owners. Owners requested to table for 30 days at the June 1, 2006 meeting. Board voted 6-0 without prejudice. (Kate Knox had to recuse herself). Owners requested to table meeting to September 7, 2006. Owners are now requesting to withdraw without prejudice.
ANew Business: Conditional Use Appeal: 124 -126 Winter Street, William D. Vail, owner, Tax Map #045 Block E Lot #001and 051 in the B1 Neighborhood Business Zone is seeking a Conditional Use Appeal under section 14-391 (g) of the City of Portland Zoning Ordinance. Appellant is requesting a change of use for legalization of three non conforming units and a rooming house to be a total of eight units. The current legal description is four units and a rooming house. Representing the Appeal is the owner. William Vail has also authorized Ed Gardner to speak on his behalf, if he is unable to be present.
