PORTLAND PLANNING BOARD


Portland Planning Board will hold a meeting on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 in Room 209, 2nd Floor, City Hall. The agenda includes the following with estimated times that are subject to change:

NO WORKSHOP

PUBLIC HEARING –6:00 p.m.
i. 66-68 High Street; Children’s Hospital Housing, Applicant (6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., estimated time subject to change.) The Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider a Subdivision and Site Plan by Children’s Hospital Housing LP, to create thirty-five (35) affordable housing units at 66-68 High Street.

ii. 468 Commercial Street; International Marine Terminal, Maine Department of Transportation, Applicant.
(7:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., estimated time subject to change.) The Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider a Level III Site Plan by the Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) at the International Marine Terminal. The proposal includes removing portions of existing structures, constructing a 3,300 sq. ft. administrative building, a 5,000 sq. ft. pier expansion, lighting and upgrades to the paving, grading and utilities.

iii. Text Amendments to allow Neighborhood Centers in I-L; City of Portland, Applicant (8:00 p.m.,- estimated time subject to change.) The Portland Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider a zoning text amendment by the City of Portland. The proposed amendment would allow neighborhood centers as a permitted use in I-L Zones, to revise the definition of community centers, and to include neighborhood centers in the definition of Places of Assembly.
