If you live in Portland or Westbrook, use the convenient and affordable METRO bus to commute to work or, park your car at a Park ‘n Ride lot and catch the bus. Monthly passes are available in room 102 of Portland City Hall and at other convenient area locations. Call 774-0351

METRO also accepts Park & Shop stamps for a free ride home!

Park & Shop Program

Many retail and professional businesses in Portland participate in the Park & Shop program. Just bring your parking stub from any Park & Shop participating parking garage or lot and the businesses you visit will stamp your ticket.
Each stamp is good for 1 hour of free parking.
METRO also accepts Park & Shop stamps for a free ride home!

Parking Tips

Please lock your car and don’t leave valuables in sight.

Always park at least:

10 feet from a fire hydrant
5 feet from both sides of a driveway
25 feet from an intersection
20 feet from the center of a crosswalk

Please do not park on the grass.

Commuters in Cumberland and York County can call 1-800-280-RIDE to receive a free “match list” which is a list of neighbors who have similar commutes and want to share a ride. Ask about a guaranteed ride home!
