Program Goal
Eligibility

In collaboration with Portland West Inc., the Social Services Division of Portland’s Health and Human Services Department provides intensive case management services to four families who reside in apartments on Bell Street in Portland. This program is funded entirely through a HUD Homeless Assistance Grant.

Program Goal

The objective of the Bell Street Transitional Housing Project is to move families towards independence by enhancing management skills, increasing education, working on jobs skills, and empowering the family as a whole. During the two (2) year residency, participants work with a Case Manager to co-develop short and long-term goals aimed at reducing barriers to self-sufficiency.

Eligibility

Eligibility for the Bell Street Transitional Housing Project is contingent upon the family residing in a Portland shelter at the time of application. A contract is then drawn up between the resident and Case Manager. Participants may be two-parent or single parent households (male or female).

Project funded by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development.
