1/13/2011 - Seagrave Manufacturing has started construction on the replacement for the 1989 Pierce Arrow pumper located at Central Station. Engine 5 is one of Portand’s busiest fire companies and responded to 2501 Fire and EMS calls in 2010.

Seagrave was selected after a competitive bid process and was selected for its quality of construction safety features and stainless steel fabrication experience.

Engine 5 will have 500 gallons of water and a pump capacity of 1500 GPM. It is expected to be in service late fall 2011.
