11/4/2010 - The Fire Prevention Bureau has posted the draft for the 2011 Fire Alarm Rules on the Fire Prevention Web Site. A synopsis of the substantive changes is also available. Comment period will be open until December 1, 2010 and will be received in writing to the Portland Fire Department, Fire Prevention Bureau, 380 Congress St, Portland, ME 04101. The final rules are scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2011.
