Historic Cemeteries

12/18/2007 - Our historic cemeteries are an important part of Portland’s open space network. Many of these areas have suffered from senseless vandalism and general deterioration. Costs for stone and monument restoration often exceeds municipal budgets, especially for larger monuments and in cemeteries that have been subject to widespread damage. Your gift could assist in resetting stones, restoring monuments, replacing fencing or enhancing landscaping. These cemeteries are an important link to our past.
