12/18/2007 - Would your street or local park benefit from an additional shade or ornamental tree? Would you like to honor a friend or relative with a memorial tree? Would you like to donate a flowering tree for a park or a unique specimen tree to the Longfellow Arboretum? Would you like to join the new “Portland Tree Trust” program? Help your neighborhood organization or group of friends sponsor an organized planting of trees along neighborhood streets and promenades or in parks, schools, and public grounds. Let’s keep Portland the “Forest City!”
