Application Brochure Eligibility Grants Loans Portland Development Corporation Terms

The Portland Development Action Grant program is designed to encourage economic development by providing needed public infrastructure to projects meeting the program criteria.

This fund is available to new or existing Portland businesses or property owners to promote new construction, encourage major rehabilitations, improve projects feasibility, and provide public infrastructure improvements or to construct or improve sidewalks, street lighting and water lines.

Grants:

• Provide public infrastructure in support of private development
• Provide support on city approved commercial beautification programs

Loans:

• Provide project-specific assistance for large developments.

Terms:

• Up to $25,000 of the public improvement costs.
• Open to property owners in Downtown Portland.
• Leveraged with equal or greater private investment.

Eligibility:

Any new or existing Portland business that:

• Is located on or in close proximity to Portland’s peninsula.
• Is developing or redeveloping commercial property within the specific boundaries.
• Have public infrastructure improvements that are required by the City to complete the project.
• Owes no outstanding property taxes, liens, fees or judgments to the City of Portland.
