[ARCHIVED] Rowe Avenue to be closed at Brighton Avenue Intersection on June 29 from 9am-12pm

Rowe Avenue to be closed at Brighton Avenue Intersection on June 29 from 9am-12pm

PORTLAND, Maine -- On Tuesday, June 29, 2021, the City’s contractor, DDI Construction, will temporarily close Rowe Avenue at the Brighton Avenue Intersection. This is being done to facilitate the installation of a large diameter stormwater manhole at the mouth of the intersection. The contractor will need to bring in a specialized piece of equipment to make the installation due to the proximity of overhead electrical wires. Local traffic on Rowe Avenue is advised to access Brighton Avenue via Levia Street and Webb Street. This work is being done as part of the Brighton Avenue Sewer Separation Project. The temporary shutdown of Rowe Avenue is only scheduled to last a few hours. This work is part of on-going utility work in Brighton Avenue which will last for several months.
