City Seeks Public Input on Integrated Water Resources Plan

Community Survey

The City of Portland’s Water Resources Division and the Portland Water District are seeking public input on a survey just released at their Integrated Water Resources Planning website, www.BluePortland.org. The survey’s goal is to collect feedback from the community to help the City better understand the community’s needs and priorities pertaining to water resources.

Portland's Water Resources Division provides wastewater collection and stormwater management, while the Portland Water District provides safe drinking water, and wastewater collection and treatment. The Water Resources Division and the Portland Water District together protect public health and the environment and prevent flooding.

The 15-question survey is geared toward those who live, work, study or recreate in Portland, and will help the City in creating its Integrated Water Resources Plan (IP).  The IP will help the City prioritize spending with respect to wastewater and stormwater infrastructure and water quality protection. A more efficient plan will support reliable City services that residents and businesses depend on.

“My vision is a city that puts clean water in the center of how we live, grow and prosper,” says Nancy Gallinaro, Portland’s Water Resource Manager.

The survey is available to the public at www.blueportland.org/survey. The community’s input is encouraged as it will help bring Portland one step closer to cleaner waters and a healthier environment. To learn more about the Integrated Plan, visit www.blueportland.org. Your feedback is also welcome through the “Get Involved” page of the website, where you can submit thoughts, questions or comments on water resource planning related concerns.
