[ARCHIVED] 84 Commercial Street - New Development Review Project

To residents and property owners: 84 Commercial Street, LLC, has submitted a Level 2 site plan application for a building addition to the existing Drydock Restaurant at 84 Commercial Street. The 2,115 sf addition includes an 851 unfinished basement, 851 sq. ft addition for a first floor kitchen, and a second floor addition of 413 sq. ft., which will accommodate restrooms and an office/storage area. The square footage is less than the existing basement space that will be transitioned to basic storage from its previous more active restaurant uses. Renovation of the existing decks is also proposed. The site is in the Waterfront Central Zone and is subject to Portland's site plan standards.  In accordance with the Portland Land Use Ordinance, notices of receipt of a Level II Site Plan application must be sent to property owners located within 500 ft. of the subject property (or 1,000 ft. if the project is a subdivision or map amendment for a site located within an Industrial Zone). This application will be reviewed administratively by City Staff. This is the only notice you will receive.  A project and plan summary is available for viewing on the Citizen Self Service Portal (https://egweb.portlandmaine.gov/energovprod/selfservice), by referencing Plan Number PL-000403-2018. Written comments should be submitted to planningboard@portlandmaine.gov.
