Join Us for a Community Dialogue for the Commercial Street Operations & Master Plan

Feedback Requested

The City of Portland, in collaboration with the Greater Portland Council of Governments and engineering consultant WSP USA, Inc., will host a Community Dialogue on Tuesday, December 11 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Rines Auditorium of the Portland Public Library to discuss the challenges and opportunities along Commercial Street.

The purpose of this dialogue is for the project team to gather valuable community input while they work to develop a Commercial Street Operations and Master Plan that best balances the many competing needs and uses along Commercial Street and the working waterfront to create a safer and more functional street.

The project team will present a brief update on the Commercial Street data collected so far, and then facilitate small group conversations where the public will be encouraged to share their visions for the corridor and discuss priorities and principles that will be used to guide decision-making for this critical Portland street.

Community participation is essential to develop a useful Operations and Master Plan that integrates the needs, knowledge, and expertise of the diverse Commercial Street users while the project team evaluates management and improvement strategies for this vital community asset.
